I built one that shoots golf balls (with enough force to go though a car door) but if you just want to shoot fireworks why don't you just use a big PVC pipe with a metal ring to hold premade fireworks and a propane torch fitted into a slot on the side to light the fuse?

It's finished functionally, have it a cool grip made from a T fitting, and a foregrip too. So far it's had enough power to punch a golf ball through 1/4" thick aluminum easily.
