Oh and I always have a handkerchief to blow my nose or bandage a severely bleeding wound, or wipe my ass in the middle of no-where...

That poor sharpie lived in my pocket for a couple of weeks and got mangled from all the shit I do. After a few times of that I grew tired of my sharpies getting mangled so I built pic rel.

I like the shield. It's about the perfect size for me to open carry and not have it be too damn clunky. I do a lot of crawling around and under equipment, through fences, etc. No imbalance issues. Trigger is nothing to write home about, but it's a carry weapon, so that's part of the safety of it...

I recently upgraded my marker with a steel marker holder to keep it from looking like the pic above...

Got tired of fucking up my aluminum bodied sharpies in my pocket. Top one is what they end up looking like after a few weeks, so I built the housing on the bottom. Sharpie slips in and I applied a drop of super glue to keep it in place. When it runs out of ink/dries out I can either unscrew the top and replace it with a refill from another marker, or if the threaded aluminum part sticking out happens to break I can heat it up a bit and push it out (put a drive hole in the bottom) and put an entire new marker body in there.
