I'm making a pine tabletop on the cheap to replace a glass insert my kids have shattered twice.
I read pine is tough to stain well, and read recommendations to treat it with a conditioner to get a more consistent stain. I grabbed Sealcoat but reading the back, it says I need to cut it 50/50 with DNA to use as a conditioner.
What if I don't dilute? Finding DNA is a fucking hassle, and my state doesn't sell 190 Everclear. Best I have on hand is 91% isopropyl.
I know I can order some on Amazon, but I'm ready to wrap this project up
