Last, but definitely not least is something I came up with which is 3D printing your own using natural PLA as a diffuser medium.

Pros:
+any design you can think of
+unlimited control of lighting even within sections
+cheap to do after start up costs
+fulfills my autism

Cons:
-start up costs can't justify it unless you're die hard into it
-design takes a while and has to be modeled in a 3D program
-soldering can be a pain in the ass
