I am full of posting fail this morning. Somewhere is an image of my band saw floating around. Anyways, I used said band saw to make this out of 1" Red Oak: 8'x4'. Stained, then 3 coats of shellac, then wax finish. I made my own wax: 1 part Carnuba, 3 parts bee's wax, heat in a double boiler, add some turpentine, then pour it in a large, empty can to cool.

Each shelf is sitting in a dado I cut with my RAS. I then secured each shelf with 2 screws and covered the holes with plugs I drilled out of some scraps. The back is just a sheet of 1/4" plywood, sanded and stained to match. Took me about 2 months - just working on it when I had the time.
