I agree. I was only speaking to the firefighter's concern about how they more easily and quickly compromised by fire than a conventionally framed roof.

Honestly they suck. Heavy, expensive, require more hangers, and even worse than trusses in a fire situation than trusses due to the glue that holds them together. I've only used them as rafters a handful of times on some large customs, as you can get some pretty crazy spans with them.

I looked up your snow loads, They're lower than mine which range from 49 to 70. So there's no reason that should be stopping you from conventionally framing roofs, though I'm not sure what style of roof is common in your area as that could certainly affect it. I frame single family houses, generally simple gables 8-12 pitch with 2x10-12 rafters that span 20-40'. Finished attics are common.
