I wonder if that has something to do with Electrical Muscle Stimulation type stuff, like the shit Bruce Lee used. copper is fine. The reason the karens are up in arms about copper pots is because if you cook something acidic in it the copper releases solid bits of itself into the food. snap traps are the way to go, though sometimes they just lick off the peanut butter/whatever else. sometimes ill poison the bait ontop of putting it on a trap, but you dont really want dead mice in your walls. i would hide the traps inside a small box, mice seem to like feeling like they're in cover and when you get the fuckers just flip the box over and chuck it in the bin.
glue traps ive had some success with and are good for spots you can put anything else (like under a stove/fridge) but they suck, mice scream when stuck and you need to finish them off, i usually just dump them in the trash alive, though once i beat one to death with a folding chair, which was equally comical and unpleasant.
i had a buddy who had success with the bucket thing but thats too much work.
Poison bait never ever worked for me, could barely get them to even bite it, and they NEVER go in those little faggot boxes that they sell the poison in. i hear the straight grain pellets are better but you usually gotta buy them in big packages/bulk.
humane traps dont work well and are for faggots, and i read most mice die when displaced anyway, so fuck using the non-kill ones. just be a man about it.
lastly the best defense is cleanliness and a caulk gun, if they got no where to come from and no reason to get in, they won't.
