I worked construction trades for a long time. About 20% of the people I worked with were great, the kind of person you could call at 3 in the morning when you got stuck in a ditch. 50% of them were just the for the money, did what they were told to do and did a fair job. 30% of them were never pleased. You were always too slow, not good enough, getting shit on constantly. Always pissy, never happy. I got a 4-5 day job done in 2 days because they boss gave me extra help. We did a great job and knocked it out of the park. As our reward we got our asses chewed because "now we don't have anything for you to do the rest of the week" and the next 3 days I sat at home and didn't get paid. Never happy, never good enough....and I was never happier to leave the industry.
