Hey guys.

I was wondering how I could make a crowning file for rounding frets after leveling them.
I have a backup bass that I'm using and it's totally uneven up and down the fucking neck.

Going by the design of this portable crowning file; I should be able to just a sheet of metal at a certain thickness and just stick sandpaper in there.

What do you think about this idea?
Any advice on making something like this yourself?
Oh, and another thing.
I'm totally broke.
