That's a fair point and question on practicability.
I'm concerned about desk space.
Right now I have 2 power supplies, ic-7300 and 2m/70cm radios, swr meters, and amp so I can hardly fit a keyboard and mouse on the desk too.
Separately, I have a NAS (basic network server for backing up and movies aka 'the cloud!')
I'm thinking in the next 5-10 years of combining it all into a clean, in-wall server frame and perhaps have PC controls. I mainly make HF contacts and scan VHF/UHF.
That'd allowed me the flexibility to add even more radios, perhaps a separate listen/TX radio with a beverage antenna, and more VHF/UHF and grow my NAS addiction.
Or maybe that's a lost cause and I should get a bunch of raspberry pis and RTLSDR and focus on an antenna farm.
