Got to fortify yourself just to go take a shit: ski cap, gatorneck, hefty coat, winter gloves, and flashlight (don't want to trip over hangar cables) at friggin 03:00, wind rushing down the airfield hammering u with all its fury, until finally the porto potty. Now u have to remove gloves, coat, coveralls, until almost butt naked...freezing yur-well not balls but everything else.

If you've got 500k's you can afford pallet jacks, compressors, pneumatic tools (nail gun, etc.,) and if necessary forklift and crane. I built my cabin without most of the equipment stated above with the assistance of my bro. Mentally=Attitude to get the job done. Deployment Kandahar, Afghanistan: Does a porto potty count, I beieve so, basically same principle as crapping in a ditch, and for not only a month a years worth. Glad them days over.

Look at this http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=dremel.. Go pneumatic, I realize you will be investing way more money for a compressor. Speaking for myself, I feel vulnerable without one.

Just purchased a central pneumatic/2 Horsepower, 8 Gal., 125 PSI Portable Air Compressor for $100 and central pneumatic/3/8" reversible air gun for $30. Pneumatic tools will last a long while if u take care of them and their motors will not burn out.

Attached a cutter wheel for metal to my pneumatic dremel and cut stained glass with it. Also, my neighbor inadvertently dragged a corner of his rider's mower protective shield: bent and peeled a piece towards the ground. The rider mower was inop until I cut that piece off. Took a little awhile though, got to lubricate the section you are cutting with gun oil to keep it from case hardening. That piece was the consistency of thick cast iron like an old fashion frying pan. Have since gotten a central pneumatic 3/8" reversible air drill.

I agree, what is he bfd anyway-lamps are a prime example of wiring inside a metal hollow apparatus and I have rewired lamps when the wiring is compromised. OP has even taken the precaution to solder and use heat-shrink on the them: am speculating this is done in lieu of wire caps (in order to fit it inside the table leg) and the solder just fortifies the wiring integrity further. There are all types of switches that could be utilized, such as a button switch for example, as long as it was secured sufficiently to render it immobile. Obviously OP you know what you are doing, but one anon's advice about the grounding should be taken into consideration, unless you used a three wire cord, spliced off the green wire, and attached it to an appropriate conductive ground. Go ahead turn it on, you obviously have experience and knowledge in basic electronics, and circuit breakers would kick in should something go "haywire," apologize for the inappropriate pun.

Do not allow that asinine OP get to you, his lose. Please continue to contribute your expertise in the genuine spirit of gaining sound advice to solutions that are posted on this site.
