I'm trying to make the absolute cheapest sugar wash I can for distilling purposes. My plan is to only buy the table sugar, and as far as nutrients go I will just grab some random (or maybe not so random) leaves and blend them into the mix and pasteurize it, with maybe a little bit of vinegar for sugar inversion and pH control. Has anyone here tried this madness before?

Animatronics and no I don’t mean robotics. I mean someone who said at some point in their life, “I can do this. I can make Disney or movie like animatronics.” That person is blue certified autistic.

And I don’t think qualifies as a trade, but maybe a skill set. Telegram channel admin. Holy fuck those people.

Hobby CNC question: Is there a good reason anyone can think of besides convenience about why everyone uses the same goddamn VFD spindles instead of a more purpose built model with higher torque and lower speed?
There are plenty of examples of DIY spindles out there driven by both sensorless and sensored BLDCs, which seem to all whip VFD spindles' asses when it comes to machining more challenging metals. What gives, does a product like that not exist in this segment?

I bought curtain holders and a portable bidet

Screw Nails, Threaded Nails, whatever you call these, how do these work?

I don't know which the guy gave me for which, rod holder needs to be drilled into regular concrete and cement wall and the bidet holder needs to be drilled into tiles

I imagine nailing them into tiles would result in cracks? so it's for the walls

so it would be better to get more feedline and setup an end supported wire dipole instead?
I've got a 20ft flagpole near my house then I'm gonna string it to a tree way back in my backyard

First you have to seal up every potential entry point. Then it's a matter of putting
>bait stations around the perimeter of the house
>bait stations inside the house
>bait stations literally everywhere
Remember that a mouse can live its entire life within a 15 ft radius of where it was born. If your bait station or mouse trap is 16 ft away then the little cunt might never even see it.

Unfortunately most don't really scale down well, the closest would be a kilopower reactor like what NASA has had designed for the Moon and Mars.

I think the primary hazard remains shielding.

it's ok to start, I made nice contacts with mine but as >>2793098 said, a dipole will be better.
I plan to make an FD4 now to use on 80 and 40 and I have a Cobweb for 20 to 10 bands

They're ok. Just keep in mind a standard dipole will out perform them.

Thoughts on EFHW antennas?
Probably gonna put one up to start with.
Guy I bought my radio from had one over his driveway and it was doing pretty decent considering the limited space he had. I was thinking a 130 footer.

Upside down? Yes, but there's a fair bit of work involved. There are Korean or Japanese guys that do that stuff on YouTube. You can check it out if you're determined.

Someone would try and stop you I'm sure but something like the SNAP reactor (pic related) which is cooled with NaK would be small enough... jut mind the risk of fires.

oh wait... nope.. yep.. yep...nope.... actually *I'm* the retard.
setting -8,0 in slicer AND -8,0 as printer.cfg endstop position... is wrong.

picrel: great success

I guess i was always setting endstop_position to 0 before, or not setting it at all.... weird that I'm only just noticing.
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkkk

>>2793085
Yeah, that was my problem. Thanks for the suggest though.
Specifying both a negative endstop pos in klipper AND setting slicer to the same negative digit was obviously stupid.
My age related memory loss must be really kicking in, because I thought I has been doing that forever.

The bed model alignment is another issue entirely, i was just bitching about it at the same time.
Note both orca and prusaslicer had the same parameters set (unlike the image in this post) and they were still differently aligned.
Try to align an stl with the bed in your slicer some time. And then change the bed size. You'll see what I mean.
I was only using prusaslicer when i headbutted this issue previously; It's like they just averaged the size of the stl and stuck it in the middle of whatever bed size was specified. Which is stupid as fuck if you ever need to change the bed size to suit a different nozzle offset.

Not really like that when I mean "from scratch", I don't want to use discreet transistors, or I'll never do it. I want to use ICs for this.

I never thought of this, I'm mostly familliar with digital ones so that's why I want to build one like this. Any suggestions about analog one?

We've got scrap yards. But they don't resell to the public.
>>2793050
>destruction of stolen items before anybody has time to come looking
This is exactly what our scrap yards are good at doing.

They don't resell to the public because industrial/commercial suppliers collude to keep used equipment off the market. If you have a mechanical/electrical "pick and pull" business, the junkers will come by, offer to write you one big check for your entire inventory and truck everything to the metal grinder.

I'm a pewtercel do I get to post here

How do I get a smooth finish on casts in silicone?
I know it's possible because some parts of my casts look pristine but other parts have a rough sandy finish
is it a temperature thing?

>Get a degree in mechanical engineering and then get a job in design engineering.
Design engineering is something of a unicorn job, you're going to need more than just a basic ME background to snag the job. Also understand that a lot of the artsy and UI side of design is actually its own field, Industrial Design.
To have a shot at a design engineering job, you're going to need an extremely solid CAD background and ideally a portfolio of projects to show off. It's also going to help if you have a solid understanding of GD&T, so your part drawings are very clearly understandable by outside parties (especially details like what tolerances you're making different features on your parts to).
