Public webcams are a good start, so long as you have mobile internet. It's extremely difficult to set up your own survelance in a way noone will notice -but i'm not exactly trying to be batman. My belt is simply an "all-purpose chances enhancer" for what activities I have planned.

For anyone interested in making one, I saved all the links to sites I purchased equipment from. Drop me a line at lucassparda@yahoo.com. I'll include video links of people using the questionable equipment. I advise against making your own until my tests are complete, but it's /diy/, so you'll do as you please.

Does it come in black?

this is a good idea, however tieing these knots into the line as I'm spooling it out will take a decent amount of time - and if I pre-tie them the rope won't sit on the spool right.

We tried climbing but found 550 paracord is too thin to climb without some sort of assistance. We'll e buying clamcleats and trying again next week. We almost were able to do a zipline test, but that's when the thunderstorm rolled in :(

We were spooked out of the woods by a thunerstorm and didn't have much time. We DID complete a swing test with 550 paracord using only the capstan effect to hold our weight (3 turns). We uploaded those videos:

Hello again, /diy/.

Today, we're continuing the utility belt thread. We're doing our equipment testing today! I've managed to get a hold of a camcorder and I will have my droid with me, so I WILL BE CHECKING BACK OVER THE NEXT THREE HOURS FOR TEST REQUESTS FROM YOU! Today's tests include the grappling hook, paracord, carabiner, and rappel belt - so please make requests for this equipment.
