I've done this, it works well but the fridge pumps are designed to be a close loop so all the oil inside the compressor will eventually shoot out the pressure side and your pump will eventually seize, you could occasionally suck up oil from the vacuum side to refill it, but you truly have no idea how much oil is in the system so it's all a guess.
Also, oil changes are a guess as well, with what the level currently is, and how much you need to add.
Just buy a chinese vacuum pump and use that, I also recommend using a drying bottle between the pump and the flask, a bottle with a tube going to the bottom, and a hose that goes out the top, that way if you suck up any moisture or chemicals it will be trapped in the dessicant or whatever material you fill the bottle with.
Another option, if you're dealing with very nasty chemicals like acids or something corrosive/flammable/dangerous, get a rotary vane pump from a carbonator or some such, and use an aspirator in a loop system, I know someone who has done this with success to vacuum distill some acids.
This method allows you to protect yourself and your equipment from acid damage.

Yes, hydrotesting

CO2 mig welding is not a good idea for thinner metal, you want 75/25 mix.

It really doesnt matter, it only matters with acetylene, if you leave it sideways you have to put it vertical for a while before you use it to avoid sucking up raw acetone.

How much does mom and pop charge you for a K size oxygen refill?
I pay 20 dollars, argon K size? 60.
How much are you paying???

There's literally no difference between airgas and praxair, I have accounts with both companies.
This is like 1/3rd of all my cylinders, I think I have around a dozen but I lost count 2bh

it's probably fine but do this >>1788318 to be sure.
Make sure the car is on and running so power bakes are working.

Yeah, people are pretty awful when it comes to buying stuff, they want twice what it's actually worth and when you're selling people offer you half or less than what you're asking.
The whole thing is so tiresome, but I've had my share of amazing deals, the trick is checking often and taking action quickly.
Used is also great for buying argon/co2 tanks, airgas will want 300 for a small tank, you can get them for like 20 bucks all the time here, it's fucking great lol.

I'd check offerup or fb marketplace for a used machine.
Rather have a used miller than a shitty chinese piece of crap.

Flux core wont work with sheet metal, it's designed for industrial applications like building mezzanines or sky scrapers, for sheet metal you'll get WAY too much heat input and either melt holes or warp the fuck out of everything.
Don't even bother, trust me, I did rust repair on classic cars for a living, flux core is useless for automotive.

That's a flux core welder, that has zero place in an automotive shop
You want a mig or tig, I recommend the miller multimatic 215 as long as you don't need to mess with aluminum, multimatic 220 if you do want to mess with aluminum.

That part is a living hinge, there isn't a very good fix for this.
You could try plastic welding, heat both parts til they are melting and smash them back together, take care not to smash it too thin or it'll just instantly break.
Or put them together and mix it all up with a soldering iron, essentially melting the two halves back together.

Did you use the fuel grinder or the regular one?
The regular one is literally useless trash, it stalls out when you apply any pressure.
The fuel one is just as powerful as a corded grinder.

Nope, works perfectly still.
I use my fuel ratchet a lot more than my non-fuel one these days though.

You realize the wax used for lost wax casting isn't the same as candle wax right?
It's much harder and it doesn't expand and contract as much with heating and cooling.
It also burns out of the molds cleanly without leaving residue.
The wax for lost wax casting is made of petroleum products and is a material engineered for a purpose.
Beeswax can expand inside the plaster, cracking it.

>i went from one mountain top to another with line of sight with a yagi or a parabolic
Um, ok, and we also reached out to voyager 1 with 22 watts of trx power while it's 12 billion miles away, but is your average person going to be able to do that?
No.
How would you communicate to the other person with the other baofeng to take their C Band dish to the top of x mountaintop and aim it at my mountaintop when you have no communication in the first place?

I think my m18 9 in grinder with a 12ah battery would cost about 1000 euros, it's pretty insane how much they have to pay for things.
Feels good to just literally buy whatever tools I want because of how cheap they are here.

This is a small fraction of my milwaukee set, it's about 5x bigger than this.
Don't mind the Pittsburgh chink tools, that was shit from my old work.

except the milwaukee m18 9 inch grinder is literally a 3 phase brushless motor lol
My grinder is already 3 phase brushless.
I should hook my amp clamp up to it and measure the current draw when cutting metal, I bet it's stupid high.

go back home and stop crowding up my favorite spots to go drink and shoot guns
I swear imma start blasting loud music at the reservoir near my house, I usully go up there to drink and shoot guns and have fires but now there's 5 or 6 "van life" people always posted up there since it's on the ourskirts of town.
I'm gonna load PA speakers into my truck and start blasting music all night long to make these FUCKS leave

It has to be stopped.
