Have you checked current to the outlet?

Do you have a planer and a jointer, router, table saw and/or chop saw? Sketch your idea, figure your outside measurements, mock up the frame and then fill in the inside.

Hopefully that door isnt as flat as it looks. Looks like a veneer sheet on plywood.

Find the seam on the border and try removing it. It may be a T shaped strip that is just forced into a groove and pulled around the table top. Remove it, make your new top, put a groove around the edge and push the trim back in.

Harbor Freight for your first set, then go to lowes or home depot.

Just use rebar and weld it together.

OP do you know propane? Look into a Camp Chef stove/oven combo. They're around $200 on amazon. They're small but unless you're cooking a turkey it should be fine.

I was able to pull it out today, lucky me it has blade terminals, no soldering. I can wait another week for an amazon delivery for $10

This. Does your fridge compressor cycle on and off repeatedly? My maytag did this about two months ago, I changed the capacitor in about 5 minutes.

Organize once. When you are done with something put it away at the end of the day. I keep multiples of common tools in go-bags set up for different jobs.

Was able to spin the lathe up once today but it was weak and slowed down with the tool against the wood. I pulled the belt and the motor spun the opposite direction, stopped it and spun the right way by hand then it spun the right way. Put the belt back on and it wouldnt go, even without any material on the machine.

How about a bow and arrow? Go to <local sporting goods> and say you want to get into target shooting.

Sorry, it's a Rockwell 46-140, yes its belt driven. I've oiled the headstock bearings and adjusted the pulleys, p.o. had them out of alignment and nearly jammed against the housing. I will recheck the tail stock.

You should have wrapped the cage before setting it. Might as well shoot from a distance and hope for a quick kill.

Got the "new" lathe going, I picked up an 80s Rockwell from a guy on craigslist yesterday. Looks almost new, said he only used it a few times. Are the bearings serviceable on these motors? I dont know if the piece I set up is too heavy for the pulley set up or of the motor is weak from sitting for a while, I was able to turn it by hand to get it going then it spun up on own.

If you glue them together and keep them clamped until completely cured it should be fine. The glue bond should be stronger than the wood around it.

What's the easiest way to balance curved pieces of wood to turn them on a lathe?

If you maintain the edge properly it should only need to be sharpened every 3 or 4 years. I do 40 to 50 passes on the canvas side of the strop and then 50 on the leather before each use. Use the back of the blade as a guide if you need to sharpen it, it's easy to fuck the angle and cause more work. The first time I had to sharpen it I went to my barber and asked his advice.

I did an 8x16 shed on piers back in 2007. Its still in fine condition, could use a coat of paint.
