Using my phone to internet, sorry. Forgot to mention that they're single phase, yeah. Lol

*up to 500 peak.

The machines were made to run conventional and 110/92/208 rotophase. The two low legs branch off hit an odd transformer that is in place to clean uuo 110 (15+/-) and guarantee 110 comes out, then get dumbed down to 40something, 20something and 12 and 5 on the DC side.

The invertor I'm using is old, yellow and covered in grease. The manual when I got it said it does up to 400w continuous (110vac) and peaks around and I forget the amperage.

I try to not run it past 8a though I'd imagine it'll crap out around 15a. I've had it since before I was married and divorced, it's endeared itself to me as a rugged and reliable piece of equipment so I'm eager to let the smoke out. Best $25 I've spent in a discontinued item.

>got dirt cheap lately.

Like my mom.
I snatched these panels up from work last year. They've been sitting in a cabinet. What's better than dirt cheap? Free.

I built this with shit laying around.

Charges my phone, works and stuff.

Adding a few more features to it, like a better PWM and an actual cigarette lighter for when innawoods.

Eventually will be mounted on the side rack of a dual sport, and used for powering laptops and other photography needs when out riding/camping.

Want to make the penetrations in the side more water proof without having to resort to silicone.

Ideas?

This question has merit. Bumping.

Not cost effective. Just buy a window AC unit.

But if you're insisting, look up "solar roof fan" or "solar gable fan".

Use your brain and make it fit in your window.

Semi-related question:

Work has me retrofitting old industrial machines. Cool gig.

I remove old 220ac and 110ac step-downs all the time. Have a stack of them.

Anyone got any ideas on what type of power would come out if I hooked one of my spare transformers up to my solar generator+invertor? Serious question.
