I'm looking to start taking commissions for novelty furniture, but I'm not sure how to price them.

I assume I should give clients a quote of the costs, but I'm not sure how to work them out. I know I have to include the cost of the materials, do I have a flat workmanship charge or do I charge by the hour? Do I add a "novelty charge" to the final fee?

Don't forget the fact that you have to carefully monitor the water mineral content every day for the first 3 months if you don't want the fish to die.

You'll need a ridiculous amount of room available to balance the cycle effectively, and it'll only work if you can balance the temperature. Essentially, if you want to do it outside, be Australian!
