/diy/ - Do It Yourself

Hi /diy/ first time posting, and even though I checked the rules and the wiki I am not sure if my thread is in the right place. I want to get into brewing beer, making mead and alcohol. I have minor experience with the traditional alcohol made here in my country ( mostly from what I've seen my family members do when i was younger). But I want to get into small scale beer making, like craft beers and regular ass beer. Making it for family and friends and if it works out and it's good, moving it up to a bigger scale. Any suggestions, information, useful stuff. Anything will be helpful, thanks if advance. If this goes under the /ck/ category delete it.
