I took a lot from noisy cricket’s simplified version (Smokey tone) output and the Datasheet. (Input volume control)

Oh I understand what you mean by the caps. If it’s polarized it’s gonna be electrolytic but film for non because it’s AC
Thanks for the input

What does putting two lm386 in series do? 400 gain???

>>2602762
The Datasheet states that you need to bypass pins 1 and 8 to a varistor pot to make it adjustable, that could be your issue.

As far as welding my immediate intentions are bike related but not limited to that, I plan to buy a plasma cutter as well, I will learn to weld on my own with a little help from a friend or 2 and internet, I plan to take a class later if necessary and get certified for giggles, I then will look into a fabrication class to better my skills. I already have a job so this is all for me I'm not concerned about making money from it, thanks for participating in the thread.

So I will kind of give my background, I've been riding around 10 years and this was my first bike. I've done all maintenance and repairs myself with no previous mechanical skills, the only thing I have gone to a shop for is tires and I take the wheels off and bring them in, I learned to do it myself but it's worth paying someone for imo because without the machine it is a giant pain in my ass.

I've had many bikes in the last 10 years, 2 have been stolen, I currently daily drive an mt09 sp, also have a Honda shadow crusty bobber, a gsxr1000 which I'm just finishing up repainting and some little mods, a 1985 honda spree which is a project in the backbones, rebuilding the engine with a big bore kit and upgrading carb etc. And this 2001 ex500 that I've just been dragging around the entire time with no plans. I've done everything to this bike but major engine repair, cleaned the carbs dozens of times, fork seals in multiple bikes. I haven't ran into a problem that I haven't researched and fixed and I enjoy that.

I was about to just get this bike running with a temp gas bottle just to sell it fast as a project and get it out of my sight, but I've been sober for 6 months and fuck it let's make a project out of it, learn a few things and have some fun.

I don't have any set goal for the end result for this bike or if I'm going to keep it or sell it. I'm going to work on it as if I plan to keep it, I will be doing a total breakdown. I will repaint the frame, engine casting and forks. I do plan to learn this nickel plating method and I will do it to something on the bike. All plastics are trashed this will be some ridiculous naked bike monstrosity, I probably won't paint the tank just rust proof the outside, I like the look. I will replace engine gaskets they need it, any hoses, weatherproof everything necessary and try to clean up wires houses etc.

Already have manuals for all my bikes, have been members of each bikes forums since I got them.

I would do this but include a control room in the hidden room that provides home network access to an array of 9 mm turrets rigged with cameras hidden throughout the home.

You could comfortably lay in bed with a controller and go to town, constantly switching from one turret to the next as the victim ran for cover from the noise. For example, if they run behind a counter for cover, and you just switch to the turret that is on the other side and fire. You could also have them in the yard hidden in trees or on the side of the house.

Another feature could be the ability to press a button to lock all of the doors and windows in the house and release poisonous gas.

Here is my current home gym. Behind the bench you can see a pulley system I modified my current rack with plumbing pipe. The dip bars are put away above.

Using the pulley system and a counter weight, I will have a pulling up, or pulling forward force to use.

I would use the upward force to lift this raising table, however the wire would get in the way of your body as you are trying to dip. I can reposition the wire, but then it would no long pull up, but instead another direction like forwards or down.

I need to find a way to get that upward force, while still having the wire not be in the way.

So here is the question. Suppose I made it so that the wire pulled forward - Okay. Now looking at my first picture, would it be possible to then translate that into an upward force? Like it could just pull on the gas strut itself (although it would have to be reversed with another pulley) and lift the table just from that.

Also this might mean I would have to use a ton of weight just to get a little upward pull, which would be beyond the capacity of what's available, or what my rack can handle. Ideally, I would want a 1:1 to a 1:2 ratio at the worse.

Thank you for the input. I will research these devices.

You are mechanically on track to what I'm trying to build!

Nothing exists like it on the market based on my research.

Basically, it is a box that you kneel on to act as a counterweight for doing dips (exercise). The box would be placed between any dipping bars (picture). It would apply, ideally, a constant force as smooth as a counterweight, but without actually using counterweights.

Why no counterweights? Space. I need something for my home gym in my condo, and do not have an expensive (several thousand dollar) dip rack to use like they do at commercial gyms.

I envision just having a box that I can plug into a wall outlet, that I can set the pressure and perhaps even compact it or use as a shelf when I am not using it.

for what it's worth I have a fair amount of both used motor oil and regular mineral/baby oil on hand.

>>2570797
I think I might mix the mineral oil with alcohol or acetone, spray the mixture on, and towel off the excess.

The 32V LED fixed it. No blinking, everything seems okay.

The issue came back so I messed with settings more, didn't resolve it, so I replaced the pressure switch, now it seems fine. >>2542884 might be right.

>> No.2547192 [View]

So, I'm an idiot. The Driver is 27-45V and my replacement LED is 12-14V. Checked the Driver, it puts ~50V out and I don't see it cutting off or smth. But it does some switching noise like tik_tik_tik_... I'm gonna get a ~30V 50W Led this time. Hope the driver is still good. And yes, it's actively cooled inside a light fixture.

I am now 99% certain the problem arose due to me lowering the air pressure, and resolved by me lowering the cuton/cutoff pressure.
When I had the frozen pipe a few weeks ago I learned about this stuff, including that the tank air pressure is supposed to be 2psi below the bottom of the pressure switch range. I have a 20-40 and was at around 21.5psi. I didn't adjust it immediately but later when I thought to do it, I lowered the air pressure to 18psi even though everything was already working fine, because supposedy that would make my pump cycle less and preserve the pump's life.
That's around when this started with the pressure switch often not cuttin on, and needing to be reset. And that was with the pressure switch at default spring tension of 20 cuton 40 cutoff.
Now that I loosened the spring on the pressure switch, it fixed the issue. (so currently I just have a bit lower pressure, but to resolve that I can just add a few psi air back into my tank, and tighten the spring back to the default 20-40 setting)
So my problem is fixed, but I am still curious to know what the fuck is going on.
Why is it that with a 20-40 switch, at default spring tension so having a 20 to 40 range, it works pefect with air pressure at 21.5 but constantly has my water going out with air pressure at 18?
I thought I am supposed to have air pressure at 18?
Unless my air pressure gauge is off by a few psi I guess.

>If you want to be in the thick of it, you kinda have to have a job in the field (ie a reason to be on site in the first place) otherwise you'd be a liability and, lets face it, a nuisance to the workers because frankly they just want to do their work and go home.

that sucks. Any ideas for getting a temp job then? What difficulties do you have with overcoming water table constraints? Do you get leeway for using pre-fab components? Do you ever encounter any issues post-compaction?

what if i made a wooden box in the shape of that triangle void? and then put 'roman wall' on the ramp side of the wall and rebar reinforced concrete over the top of the ramp?
I could use shitwood to support my concrete'd 'roman wall' i just build it up like a foot or two at a time so it doesnt collapse the shitwood-wall
or fill the shitwood box with sand as well?
???

Turned out my heat tape was no longer working which caused some water to freeze where the line comes from my well into my house. Got it fixed today finally including new heat tape. Thanks everyone for the help.
