Most of asian cuisine is oily slop or brown soup. So yeah it looks pretty gross.

I'm not that big a fan. I do find it interesting that old egg fried rice is often better than fresh rice.

Damn love me some buttery, veggie stock stirred stir rice right now.

That looks gross because the rice gluten paper whatever you call it in english looks like dead alien fat folds and does not resemble what food conventionally looks like. Where I usually go with old chinese people they serve the paper in a stack like pancakes and you dip it yourself.
