pic related is
>420 calories per can
>21g protein
>pic related is like 50c next week

This a good poor fag meal? was thinking dropping about 40 bucks on these bad boys which is like 80 cans. Assuming you eat like 2 cans with discount beef used sparingly and tortillas, that's like eating for 1.25-1.50 a day. This the best way for a poorfag to live? Other poorfag options for eating? This way seems to be about the cheapest with a cup of ramen to maintain 2000 calories a day and eat for like a month or so.

Anyone do this?

if you were really a poorfag you would be buying dried pinto beans and lard and making your own refrieds instead of paying premium for the best damn canned refrieds ever produced

I just had refried canned beans for my lunch break. After working at Taco Bell I recreate their pinto and cheese dish. Just a layer of mushy beans on the bottom, a layer of hot sauce on top of that, and sprinkle some cheese on all that. Microwave for a minute or two, I like it piping hot, Shit's so fucking gooooood.

I thought about it, but that would require additional water, electricity, cleaning etc. Pretty sure you can eat these out of the can as my friend use to in highschool did.

Idea is
>plop out onto tortilla
>heat up meat as needed
>spread on tortilla
Only thing I would really need to clean after a while is the meat cooking bowl from time to time. If I did dried beans I'd need more prep, washing, power, etc.

Which is why I posted the Jalapeno one, it already has some spice flavoring mixed in to offset the bland flavor.

Say what you want but it saves money by not needing to buy sauce or take extra packets from taco bell. My sauce basket only has Jitb taco sauce left

Don't buy re-fried. Buy pic related, fry them in oil with some chopped onion, garlic power, and hot sauce. Mash up to your desired mushiness. Tastes great!

Penny pinching is the focus anon, besides for those I'd need some spice to add to it which adds more cost and that would be harder to put into a tortilla

Try frying/seasoning/mashing your own canned beans one time bro, You'll never want those flavorless watery re-fried beans again. They'll fit in a tortilla fine, I eat 'em all the time.

You don't know how to make refried beans?

I've been eating these a few times a week for years now. Little pro tip: save the greese from any hamburger meat you cook and mix in a couple of tablespoons with some jalapeno juice. Makes them taste restaurant quality.

Refried beans are delicious. Get the ones that are made with real lard if you can.

>>15350784
They're delicious.

>> No.15353127

Sure. A lot of sodium. A good way to stretch out meat.

Sauté 1/5th pound of ground beef with salt, black pepper, oregano, cayenne, whole onion, whole bell pepper, and blanched cubed potato. Add green chilis or tomato and red chili.

If you ain't got shit in the pantry, ground beef onion and beans with salt.

>>15353127
Oh yeah also add a little fat to it and then water until it's at the consistency you like. Bacon fat is the best, lard if you got it, and if none of that add a pat of butter. This will get your canned beans closer to the restaurant quality.
