I really really liked Larceny but the price here in Yurop is fucking ridiculous: 50EUR for a fucking bottle. I've read somewhere that Rebel Yell has the same mash bill but I'm not sure what to expect.

I'm trying to find a relatively cheap bourbon to have as my main drinker, but I couldn't stand the cherry flavour of Woodford's (which is odd, because Woodford's double oaked tasted like fucking perfection when I had it at a bar). Bulleit was allright but nothing remarkable so you'd expect it to be a bit cheaper.

Regular Maker's Mark is just okay, for me. Like a slightly watered down Woodford Reserve. It's got all the nose and flavor notes, without a strong spice level, so it has decent mass market potential. The dipped red wax gimmick helps, too. It basically makes it one of the most instantly recognizable bourbons.

Kilkerran is another campletown distillery that the springbank fellas own and it shares some of the characteristics. Actually the whole kilkerran line is great but the 12 is the most well balanced. If you like peat then longrow (produced by springbank) is also worth a look.

>for me? its buffalo trace. the best affordable bourbon
Too bad about the allocation thing while they're distillery is going through its $1.2B expansion. A liquor store clerk the other day told me that the liquor market in Asia recently bought a ton of their stuff at double the price, and because of that they would not be getting any BT stuff until January next year.
