I really dislike the taste of alcohol, but i still drink it mostly for posterity reasons when im at a party or something. Also the nauseating sensation when i get drunk is fucking horrible.

In a few weeks, im supposed to meet my gf's extended family, all of whom are hard drinkers who take shots of gin pretty much daily. I dont wanna seem like a pussy and pass out prematurely, how do i gitgud with my drinking game?

you can build tolerance, but i think that's a bad idea.

just go to parties with a belly full of carbs: rice, potatoes, bread. it'll absorb and slow the alcohol.

i drink almost every off day i have, nothing hardcore i just like the taste and the buzz

just look them straight in the eyes and tell them you don't drink, if they make fun of you for it own it. its much more impressive to stick to your ideals than to try to fit in with everyone else (plus a respectable distinction from the crowd is an attractive quality)
