Sugar intakes are related to how well you sleep, if you sleep horrible you're more likely to have a sweet tooth. It's a part of our biology to look for carbs when we're feeling low on energy to give a boost to your energy so you can start your day more easily, then your supposed to eat something nutritious when energy levels are back up.

It makes sense that you get sugar cravings when you don't sleep well, I recognize some of that in muself as well, but if that's a regular routine then you have bigger issues than just the sugar intake. Long term sleep depravation is a serious issue even if you only get one hour less than you need every night.

Right now I'm not sleeping great because it's very mild and humid for some reason here in South-East Ontario. So the building boiler is on due to winter, but it's spring temp. I have noticed I've been eating more cookies than I usually would.

You should take care of yourself and your sleep, I've had pretty large issues with sleep at times and your brain capacity takes a turn for the worse when you don't sleep well. And because it's so gradual you don't realize that you end up walking around in what feels like a fog. Try to make sure you get up towards 8 hours as often as possible even if it means turning down certain activities.
