Can we have a thread about food from places that are not primarily restaurants?

Im talking like airlines, department stores, jail, army, oil rig, soup kitchens, hospital, nut house, camp, etc...

Ikea food is dope even though you wouldnt think to go and eat there unless you were buying shit.

>lox plate starter
>meatballs for main
>pear cider to drink

Never sure what dessert to have since I'm not really into cake and that's all they seemed to have when I've been.

I love Ikea food. For airlines I've never flown first class or anything so I probably don't have much to go on, but Airfrance had by far the best food I've gotten on a flight. Most of it actually tasted fresh and I got free wine to go with it too, which won me over immediately because I'm American and was only 19 at the time.

the service is sub par but airfrance really does have some of the best economy food in the industry.

I've been to a huge IKEA across from 'The Mall of America'. Never ate there though, there are too many restaurants across the street. Cheap assemble furniture, as well as sheets and other items, are a blessing though. Not shilling but their wine caddy makes an excellent chop-block with storage underneath. If you're looking for glassware, rugs, artificial plants, storage, etc; it's worth visiting.

Meh, not plussed. Was just thinking a nice forest berry salad with some yoghurt would be something I'd go for if they had it.

Every time I've flown first class as an adult, I've consumed at least one bottle of Dom (more frequently) or Krug (rarer, but when they have it I am very happy) on my own over the course of the flight.

had a 3 day/2night stint in jail:

day 1
>evening in police station
>got nothing

day 2
>in police station
>get juice box with fruit punch and a prepackaged gas station sandwich
>forgot what kind of sandwich it was
>get shipped to the central courthouse
>given the option of either a cheese or tuna sandwich
>just a kraft single on a bun
>beverage was what some sort of watered down tang concoction
>find out i have to spend the night in the big house
>get shipped to the big house
>after strip search i got breaded chicken with steamed carrots and a slice of bread
>was not bad actually
>have to spend the night in a cell with 2 niggers
>they gave me a chocolate chip cookie from their stash

day 3
>breakfast in jail cell because lock down
>cup of coffee with the milk and sugar already mixed in
>bag of milk
>cup of shredded wheat
>toast, jam, and peanut butter
>use jam to sweeten my shredded wheat and milk
>go back to central courthouse for bail hearing
>get bail
>have to hang out in cell while papers are processed
>offered same choice of tuna or cheese sandwich
>guy in cell tells me hes taking my sandwich cause im going to be going home and that he wants a tuna
>get the sandwich and give it to the guy

overall the gas station sandwich and the breaded chicken were the highlights. i got arrested along with 2 friends of mine (drug shit) so nobody fucked with us since we had a little posse going.
