So whats the deal with instant pots? Do they just cook stews/curries at an accelerated rate?
I got a hand me down from my sister and wonder how I should use it.

Whats awesome about them is that you can heat up canned goods perfectly just pop them in and set it for 20 minutes

Ask your sister.

And by "ask your sister" I mean "post pics of your sister naked".

It cooks it evenly and distributes flavor. Trust me canned ravioli is god tier when done in it

Instant pot is just a hamilton-beech grade variant of an electric pressure-cooker. Breville and others have been making these things for over a decade, with better build materials.

I use mine for yogurt.

Just a pressure cooker with some extra bells and whistles. Nothing you cant do on a stove or in the oven but I watched some Indian broad make a bunch of stuff in it on YT and it looked easy enough to use.

Get one if you have the extra money and space and wanna fuck around with it.

As I've said before, the foods you cook it in taste 80% as good as if you had cooked them the "long way" with 80% less effort.

It's a tradeoff most people are happy to make

You can boil your bones for literal fucking days and your extraction won't be nearly as good as my pressure cooker broth that only took two hours.

It's a pressure steamer with automation so you can start it and not need to go back a little later to turn down the heat, and then again to shut it off.
