What condiments do you prefer on your burger? For a long time I thought "ketchup and mustard" was the best, sort of the default by the McDonald standard, why fix what aint broken. But then at some point I realized I like BBQ sauce with burgers more than ketchup, and that while it doesn't really go with mustard, the creaminess of mayo is perfect for it. But then at some point I realized I missed mustard, and of course, mayo and mustard I feel is the patrician choice now, after all it is the basis of the Big Mac sauce, and who doesn't love that.

I dunno man, that's where I sit right now, but what your thoughts, what to you is the definitive choice of condiment to top your burgers?

There isn't one choice.

Many different ingredients go well with a burger depending on your appetite.

>at a restaurant
I'll eat just about anything on a burger if it's well put together

>fast food
Order it plain and dry and add ketchup as needed. I fucking despise fast food condiments especially the pickles and mustard. Also there's no point of adding tasteless onion unless you can actually bite into it.

>cooking at home
Nice slice of whatever cheese i have and depending on the ingredients i have i'll either get crazy with sauteed onions and lettuce. Or just go with classic meat/cheese and down it in either ketchup/mustard.

Mayo is my default choice on a burger, sometimes some spicy brown mustard as well. Occasionally I'll use bbq sauce instead of mayo/mustard.

I'm sorry your red chewy water is so bad on burgers, get some decent tomatoes and season them properly and you'll learn the error of your ways.

Minced sauteed onion, lettuce, barbecue sauce, mustard and mayonnaise mixed together to avoid sauces slopping from being laid over eachother

Burger meat should have garlic powder, salt, pepper of choice and a small bit of oregano added to it, alternatively have some crushed red pepper instead of ground table-pepper

THICC heirloom tomato with S&P on it is a GOAT burger topping, you damn near don't need anything else.
