Where can I buy these, I mean ready to cook. Read these were the main type of chicken till the 930's. Then they had that breeding contest, Just wanna BBQ one of them really badly.

The Brahma is a large breed of chicken developed in the United States from very large birds imported from the Chinese port of Shanghai. The Brahma was the principal meat breed in the US from the 1850s until about 1930.

How long do they take to grow? I hear it's around 12 weeks or so for the modern breeds to grow to slaughter size

As broilers, Brahma chicks were killed quite young, about 8-10 weeks of age. They made a most profitable roaster at 8 months, but it was found that virgin cockerels were still tender as roasters at 12-13 months
