Hrm, I was also thinking, what is the molten material, and are the fumes safe? If it's igneous rock, I suppose it might be alright. High heat steaks are the best (ex. ruth's cris). One of the best steaks I've had was years ago at the Mai Kai, a filet cooked in a 1800F sealed oven, kind of a sear that happened so fast, juices and marinade were kept inside this amazing crust all around.
But, I'm positive that salmon is sticking, hahah, look how it stuck to the plate before going on the (cheap) grate without any oil..

It is fantastic in small doses like one food texture on a plate here and there (something easy like cucumber foam that can be made per order in like 10 seconds with some cucumber juice and soy lectithin) can be mad creative and take a dish to a new level in appeal and flavor. The issue is it gets faggy if the dish is all pearls and foam and that's 80% of the menu, like if the restaurant buys in bulk from chef rubber they are all style no substance. Beyond that molecular gastromy shit is food textures which are really just like any other ingredients if you use they correctly and don't add too much they are great.

I could see this being nice if you wanted access to a food processor during a time you wouldn't have access to electricity. I'm not completely sure when that would be, but it does have its uses kind of. Maybe it would be useful if you wanted to blend drinks on the beach or you could throw it in your apocalypse survival bunker? Then again most situations you could use this you would probably be better off having pre-blended stuff to take with you or you could save space for something more useful. I believe there's also battery powered blenders available, but I sort of want to believe this could be a useful product for someone somewhere.

/webm/ is a community, and I can see you're highly uninformed about it's members. Yeah, there a bunch of reposts, but it's usually by the people who made them in the first place you nave. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing your original content get distributed in a webm thread by somebody who saved it. It makes the hours of scouring obscure sources and running ffmpeg worth it. OC is coming in all the time too. In all the webm threads I usually see at least one new webm and thats on the low side. Sometimes we inspire a new creator (or an old one) to make a bunch of new content. Those threads are usually beautiful and graced with at least 90% OC with images vs replies being 70%+. Kindly remove yourself from this thread and really think about what you said today. Maybe try and gather some empirical evidence to back up your flatulent and incredibly uninformed claims. Jack posters will be damned to the deepest level of hell though.

Cooked watermelon has a very strange texture, it's kind of like tuna but watermelon-flavored tuna. The question is: do you work with that, or against it? It think if you used some citrus type BBQ flavors you could get more of a 'steak', but a lot of people try to use liquid smoke and shit to give it a freaky covered-up flavor.

I'm making this tonight, but I'm using cheddar instead of mozzarella, and jalapenos and onion instead of bell peppers.
