Is this like the Mexican equivalent of shichimi spice?

Really like it on cucumbers and watermelon. OK on popcorn, as well.

They put this shit all over melons and fruit while I was in Mexico. Fuck off.

Apparently in the south they also salt their watermelon. Tried it, and it's actually a good effect.

It's not a savory seasoning. It's just salt and citric acid (and tiny, ineffectual chili flakes).

Salt and watermelon is common almost everywhere

i like this stuff on cucumbers and jicama

they have a habenero one that is better, has better spice to it and isnt just sour, but they only sell it in the small containers and it tends to get all clumped together if you dont use it in less than 2 or so weeks :/

fantastic on sweet stuff like pineapple and watermelon. good on stuff like jicama and cucumber as long as you also add lime juice, salt, and hot sauce. fine by itself.
>>9820747
stupid little white boy fucktard, this adds sour, hot, and salt to the sweetness of fruit. pretty bitching combination, little bitch boy.

But all that stuff is basically in the seasoning.

As a beaner, a lot of us are really tolerant to citric acid so we still add lime to fruit eventhough we put tajin on fruit. Also adding the seasoning then lime allows the seasoning to run down and cover more of the fruit.

Despite the color, it actually tastes only of lime
