It just stands out against the bland garbage the English and other European countries make. Then you have idiots like yourself who gravitate to the class distinction that again stands out against most other country's food. French food requires a semblance of skill and attention unlike the fast majority of cooking, that's why it's so focused on by the culinary world. It's why it seems higher class because retards literally can't prepare it. That's why it has the reputation it does. American versions of food are generally better. All that means is that we took the best shit they had and made it better and prepared with standards. Like Thai food is fucking delicious and that guy is right with the ranking. Not only is it amazing it's also got some of the most complex flavor profiles. It's not even that. The English nobles were literally gaga over anything French. They overrated French to a very high degree and told the rest of the world to do so as well. It's literally English hegemony over the world and their insecurity about their own cuisine that made French seem the de facto "fancy" cuisine around the world. You're almost certainly talking about plov, which is perhaps the only genuinely good central asian dish.

Uzbek food is mainly things like plov, samsas, kebabs and tandoori bread. With the exception of plov, none of their dishes are very complex or interesting, yet they also don't contain any ingredients that a person is likely to dislike. That's why you'll find that nobody hates Uzbek food, but nobody loves it either. Utter mediocrity.

Also it's funny that for the first time in my life I see Uzbek cuisine being discussed on 4chan during the month I just happen to be in Uzbekistan.
