What are you thoughts on deviled pickled eggs?

>> No.9728578

I really like them. In fact I think I'm going to make some for Thanksgiving because of this thread.

>> No.9728582

Love em. Delicious and super easy to make. Not sure why I don't make them more often, to be honest.

Shit, I could also go for an egg salad sandwich right now. Feel like I should get to hard boiling a bunch of eggs now or something.

Excellent food, as long as you use paprika and not dill.

That sounds like heaven and I'm appalled that I never thought of that

Um, fuck you. Dill is awful and ruins everything. Smoked paprika is the only topping for them.

i've never had a pickled egg before. what's pickling give to the egg? is it the same as pickling a cucumber or some other process?

It gives it the awful taste of death and decay with a hint of ass.

>> No.9728993

Use more paprika, use more vinegar than you think you need, and use dill.

>> No.9729026

Fantastic, they deliciousness to work ratio is great, they're always a crowd pleasure.

You mean the dash of paprika? Or do you mean the mayonnaise?

Looks like the eggs in that photo were pickled in beet brine, so sugar, salt, and vinegar. It would make the egg mildly sweet and fairly acidic.

EVERYTHING.
just use a bit of salt. tastes way better then anything else you can put on it.

>> No.9729198

I avoid them because they have the word 'd**il' in it. I don't want to summon any wicked beings while acknowledging and eating them.

Deviled eggs are always part of my relish tray. I don't know anyone who doesn't like them.

Um, you're a degenerate. Dill is patrician.

>> No.9729631

>Make three scrambled eggs
>Man this is a lot, it's tough to finish

>Make 8 eggs into deviled eggs
>Man they're gone already? I should have made a whole dozen

What is this sorcery?

Love em. Use a food processor or stick blender to get the filling real smooth.

Dill and paprika is the superior topping. Also, regarding dill, chopped dill plus minced capers makes amazing tartar sauce, far superior to relish.
