I didn't eat Jimmy Johns 7 years ago, but its almost guaranteed they did. Pretty much all recent fast food restaurants have been doing this except extremely established players.

Papa Johns used to be legitimately delicious. They slowly changed all of their ingredients over the past decade, while maintaining the same look, to make everything worse. The cheese used to be gooey and stretch. It does not anymore. It also taste terrible

Recently this decline into the shit has been accelerated. Shake Shack is legit bad every time I've tried it on multiple continents in the past few years. But I remember waiting for 30+ minutes in NYC years before their expansion. It was absolutely worth the wait and it was disappointing there wasn't time to go back during the week I was in NYC for vacation. Man, I miss living 2 miles away from a penn station, jersey mikes, greek express, and raising canes so fucking much. You people dont understand the pain of only having a dairy queen and subway as the only fast food options (rural minnesota). The other day some local guy im friends with on facebook made a post for voting for the best pizza with the choices as papa johns, dominos, pizza huh, and casey's. FUCK. The girl at our local deli doesnt even know fucking fractions so you have to tell her "i need .50 pounds of turkey." At least we have a butcher shop run by some cool menonites.
