You would have been better off using pita or focaccia rather than flour tortillas. But that doesn't answer your question. No, never tried making it homemade before. I'd imagine it isn't too difficult. Generally it's made using a tandoor, but I'm sure there are work-arounds since it's basically just a flatbread.
