I have a suspicion my local Italian place is putting something in my chicken parmigiana when I order from them. It started happening after I got into an small argument with the owner. They were doing deliveries for some reason and they complained that I always order too close to closing time. They still taste good but every time I get one now I get horrible diarrhoea the next day. I'm literally shitting water at the moment and my stomach feels terrible.

What could they be putting in it to make me feel like this that I'm not tasting? How can I test it to be sure?

quit ordering the chicken permission and give them a chance to let some other proper italian dishes shine. maybe they are getting tired of your shit.

it could be an isis agent poisoning your food, they might be working at that italian place, order pork parmigina instead and see if it still happens

tell us about this argument please

did the owner tell you this?

the only way I can think to test if they are putting visine in your food is, have a friend order for you a couple hours before closing time and have only your friend pick it up. order it to go. and see if your getting the squirts then too.

I just answered the door to get my order and it was the owner who I recognise and they said really snarkily way that it would be appreciated if I didn't always order so close to closing time.
I ordered a half hour before they closed and am a long standing regular customer so said that I didn't see the problem and if it was why don't they change their business hours? If they don't like getting business during their opening hours close.
I didn't order from them for a few weeks after because I was pissed but one rainy night there was nothing in the house and from all the delivery joints they were all I felt like so I ordered from them and got sick the next day, despite tasting awesome. It's happened with enough frequency that they I've come to suspect they're tainting my food. I guess it could be poor hygiene standards in the kitchen but that has never been a problem before.

That was my thinking. You can't bitch about getting business if you're open. Absolutely not my fault.

they could be crushing up zinc supplement tablets and adding that to your food. too much zinc, even as little as 100 mg, can cause stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.

You could process the food into a slurry, centrifuge it, and add sulfuric acid to the supernatant. If you see a precipitate (you might not), test if it is zinc sulfate via atomic spectroscopy. Either way, test the acid-treated supernatant for zinc sulfate.

I agree with this.

How are you placing the orders? Are the taking online orders or is it over the phone? Either way, it seems like they could just stop taking phone calls or turn off their computer. Even if you went to the restaurant in person, they could just put up a sign that says "no orders past ___ o'clock" and pick a time to stop taking orders. This truly is a case of idiotic business management.

Have you checked postmates or grubhub for other chicky chicky parm parm options?

Online orders. Restaurants do not have to accept the order. If they can't fulfil it you get a text message saying so.
There are dozens of restaurants serving chicken parmas in my area but this one is far and away the best. By a huge margin. I just seem to get sick the day after it now.

Food tampering is a felony report them to the health inspector and contact the police pretty easy to have the food tested
