if you eat fast food every day and enjoy it then I agree, there's no reason for you to learn to cook. you'd never be able to really replicate mcdonalds or burger king anyway

also when you have money you can buy gadgets which are a whole nother level of fun

If you have the money, you can eat even better food than you thought you could and still stay healthy. Everything you eat in a kitchen takes <15 minutes to make on average so why not try the stuff that takes longer. Although are we talking fine dining every day rich? If your that rich hire a personal chef and litterally get better healthier calorie controlled food without leaving your house. That's what I'd do, I could litterally not think about it at all and have perfect caloric and macronutrient intake. I think that's why some rich people look so good while being so busy all the time on top of it.

Delicious food from the comfort of your home--don't have to wait or get dressed and go anyway

Adjusting things to your own personal taste

Making things you can't find at your local McFaggot's

The joy of having people over and seeing their faces light at up something you've made

Lots of reasons, OP

Whenever I go on a vacation and eat out every day, I will usually feel like shit after a while from eating heavy fatty food. It's possible to find restaurants that offer lighter food, but they can be rare and inconvenient to find. The only light, veggie-heavy food an average restaurant will offer is a salad, and restaurant salads are a ripoff. Just an average American homecooked meal of meat, grains, and a pile of cooked veggies is not a common offering, especially without being doused in buttery sauce or something.
