You can buy commercial rations from Amazon, but they're overpriced and are often far from an authentic experience.
Your best bet, and what most of these channels do, is search on eBay and Craigslist for people selling surplus rations.

I can recommend southwestern style chicken and rice with beans (civ ration) and chicken chunks, white (don't remember menu no.) they always contain lots of goodies inside

Stay away from anything with eggs. Fucking gross.

Try any of the pastas usually loaded with goodies, or try the Chili Mac. Cook the Jalapeno Cheese sauce with your packet and pour the melted cheese into the food... best experience.

I never really did MREs but we did have some when I went on a 2 1/2 week hike through New Mexico. I had a beef stroganoff one that was actually decent.
