Yes, but doesn't really do much. It stays hot for about 30 minutes and then temperature starts to slowly drop. Keep in mind that water cools down quickly.

Yes, no matter how tightly the thermos is sealed, the liquid put inside has already cooled down quite a lot after 1-2 hours. I've owned several thermos cans and none of them could keep the heat long.
