I am seriously filled with hatred for myself at the moment. I had a few big bills pop up at once, wreck my savings, and I need to save money for the next year.

I eat fast food twice a day.

I know how to cook, I'm just lazy.

What are some /ck/ approved cheap/healthy meals I can make for lunch everyday

For lunch? Buy a thermos and bust out those soups and stews. Every country on the planet has a dozen to choose from so you won't get bored, and you can bust them out in batches dirt cheap so you don't have to cook every day.

If I were you, I'd make a batch of one soup one day, portion it out in freezer bags, then another soup the next day, then another the third. Then you've got three weeks worth of lunches done in three days, and you can mix them up for variety.

Some ideas: chicken & wild rice, Mexican tortilla, chicken & sausage gumbo, minestrone, navy beans & ham, chili, beef-vegetable, tomato bisque, blah blah blah. Just grab the biggest discount bag of frozen chicken thighs you can get, a pound each of carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes, and some canned vegetables and get to work. It's the best value for your buck, just stay away from cream soups. Those don't store well.

Grilled chicken breast.
White rice.
Broccoli cooked however you like it (steamed, stir-fried, whatever).
Your choice of fruit.

You'll cover basically all of your necessary nutrients. It's pretty inexpensive and can be easily made in advance for easy lunches for the week.
