Let's have our weekly soy general, /ck/

Soy is a quick and efficient way to feed yourself. Just imagine spending hours trying to fix a meal for yourself -- those days are over friends!

So, foodcucks say what?

I have intense anxiety but can't live alone because of the cost. As such I tend to eat just on my lunch break at work or use electric kettle in my room and make ramen and whatever else I can add hot water to. Would these be suitable for using as occasional meal replacements? How expensive are they? Do they need to be refrigerated? How long do they keep?

I had huel for a while. Couldn't stand the vanilla version as the flavour was overpoweringly strong and made me retch and the unflavoured version was just tasteless sludge. So I just mixed them together 50/50 for a while but that got boring so I bought their flavour packets which basically turned them into milkshakes (pretty damn good) but I stopped buying because I didn't want to encourage their jew practice of forcing their customers to pay extra for flavour. Also I strongly suggest using mouthwash and brushing your teeth after having any soylent because it's just like protein shakes in that they make your breath smell rank afterwards.
For what it's worth, my local GP said my bloodtests were amazing right up until I told him I was on soylent, then he did a 180 and told me it's bad for me and that I was going to die if I stayed on them.
I was originally going to start buying my local made soylent brand once I finished off my huel but they went bankrupt just as I was about to buy some and now my only economical option is that crappy joy shit from the netherlands but most of it's carbs are from maltodextrin and I don't want to risk that as my family has a history of diabetes.
Considering just buying a more expensive but healthier option with complex carbs making up the majority of the calories as I only have soylent once a day in the mornings for convenience reasons and a small amount should be enough to last me ages anyway.

This. The guy is insane.
Instead of washing his clothes he just buys new ones because it supposedly saves water.
He doesn't have knives or heating elements in his kitchen because they are violent or something.
He destroyed his gut flora on purpose so he could complete some "use only 4 liters of water a day" challenge. I don't know how that helped.
He created soylent via trial and error, testing that shit on himself. Several times he got into a really bad state and was probably close to death. He has zero background in nutrition.
The shit is made in a crummy warehouse using Chinese produced powders from who knows where.
If you willingly ingest this stuff you are an idiot.

tried huel which is similar but with oats and pea protein being the primary ingredients.

vanilla flavor is pretty good. texture is pretty good, and because oats thicken up like crazy you need to dilute to pretty high volumes which actually left me feeling full.
