White rice with ketchup on it.

I know that sounds autismo as fuck, but when I was in Junior High I was poor as shit. In the winter we just kind of had rice and some condiments. Couldn't afford eggs sometimes.

I love omurice, which is like a souped up version of that, but if I feel down some days I like to have a little bowl of white rice with some ketchup on it.

I find chopsticks to be the best way to eat certain foods. Either through being more effective or picking out each individual part of a dish. Some foods aren't meant to be eaten shoveled together with every flavor mashed together at once. A good example would be ramen or bibimbap. Who meticulously puts noodles, broth, menme, bean sprouts, nori, egg, and chashu in the same bite? The inverse is true. Try eating mac and cheese with chopsticks. Its fucking stupid. Everything tastes the same. That's what a fork is for.

Oh man, this is the one. Definitely a winner as far as comfort food goes.

I really like it in the cold season of Houston, which is any time that's not January through the 3rd week of December.

Why do I always feel regret after eating these? I mean, I always feel disgusted and think "well, there goes nothing" at the end. I rarely feel that, so this is weird.

For me, it's meatloaf. THe key to a good meatloaf is throwing an egg in so it doesn't get dry, and the topping. The topping is supposed to be ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce you slather on and throw it in the oven so it gets all thick and congealed on the loaf.
