Where you ever a picky eater, /ck/?
Is it true that like, 99% of picky eaters mostly eat chicken tenders?

In all seriousness, yeah.

Most of the picky eaters I know definitely like chicken tenders. Not baked chicken, not grilled chicken. Fried chicken tenders.

It's kind of absurd.

Also, am I the only person who hears the same excuse when you ask a picky eater why they don't like certain food?

"Here, anon. Try some of this *insert food*" and they respond with "No, I tried that back in 3rd grade and I didn't like it." or something weird.

I don't ever make it a significant issue, just find it fucking bizarre how they've apparently tried anything and everything no matter how obscure it is.

Absolutely. I hated melted cheese, any kind of non-raw vegetable, potatoes, and basically anything mushy like stew, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, curry, etc

And yup, i only wanted chicken tenders and bbq sauce. Drove my parents nuts lmao.

Now i like almost every food on earth, i even liked hakarl when i tried it.

I was a picky eater up until age 10, my mom forced me to try a pickled beet with a meatball. It was heaven and I began to wonder what else I had been missing out on.

Throughout my young childhood, I ate plain pasta, chicken tenders with ketchup, kraft mac and cheese, chef boy r dee MICRO raviolis, and any kind of cheeto or bbq chip.

The only foods I had an aversion to were any form of onions, mushrooms, mushy vegetables, any seafood aside from fish sticks

I've warmed up to some seafood but still won't eat shit like oysters or mussels, only fish and shellfish and squid if it's fried

Not a huge fan of mushrooms still but I can eat them if I must

Oh, and green beans taste like piss

My sister is the pickiest eater I've ever met. The only pork she'll eat is bacon and the preformed sausage patties (not links). She will eat spaghetti, but only the sauce (no noodles) on garlic bread. She doesn't eat any cut of chicken besides BS and even then its only tenders, pan fried, or rarely oven baked. She also eats enchiladas/tacos when I make them, but not lasagna. She also eats burgers. Honestly 5 or 6 nights a week she goes to Taco Bell, McDonald's, or Chick-fil-a to eat dinner.

Yeah, a bit. Most kids are though.

Now there's only a couple things I avoid when I make food myself, but don't complain about it someone else makes food for me.

I was a picky eater but my mom told me that she'd ban me from my consoles/GB if I didn't eat my grandmothers food and her strange tasting chinese medicinal soups/teas and it went away after like 2-3 years.
Same thing happened with cilantro too.
And yeah I loved shit like fries and battered chicken/fish.

You pickup retarded habits when dealing with children.

I was a pretty picky eater as a child but I was never into fries chicken. I would eat mostly fish and green vegetables like spinach and broccoli. So all the stuff children stereotypically hate but I loved the stuff. I wouldn't touch sausages, mayo, mustard, vinegar or cheese of any kind though.

Thankfully I acquired a taste for most things out there with time. Still not too happy with most sausage but I was an idiot not trying all the flavours of cheese for sure.
