my favorite thing to make with rice is rice & peas

2 cups long grain rice
1 can coconut milk
1 can red beans
1 green onion, crushed
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 scotch bonnet pepper
sprig of thyme
s&p

use all of the coconut milk and syrup from the can of beans and then water to make 4-4 1/2 cups of liquid. add all ingredients except rice and stir in. then stir in the rice, cover and bring to low for 20 min.

i fucking love rice & peas. goes good with curry chicken, oxtail stew or bully beef.

I'm just warning you I use only brown rice
>inb4 muh heavy metal poisoning
Here comes a recipe:
>Dice an onion, a small bell pepper a couple garlic cloves and a carrot.
>Saute them in a not so small saucepan
>Add the cups of brown rice and toast it a bit constantly sturring
>4 cups of water go in
>Maximun heat, add salt, pepper and spices of your choosing (I like cumin in this)
>Let it boil well sturring for 5-10 minutes
>Put the flame to minimum, cover the pan aand let it cook for around 20 minutes (of course you check the level of water at 20 minutes and give it more time if it's not ready)
>Once is cooked I throw a can of peas, mix and let it seat for 10 minutes.
>Eat and enjoy not having diabetes.

For tempeh
Fry them in cooking oil, put aside
Saute garlic, shallots, sliced chilli, and a bit of galangal
Add palm sugar, water, and tamarind water
Put the tempeh in, and add fried peanuts.
Fry until the spices soaked into the tempeh
