Who /whole/ here?

White bread/pasta eaters need not apply.

>> No.9476555

me. pasta is all about the sauce and flavoring, no need to fuck your blood sugar up

>> No.9476564

Bish it shouldn't matter to you unless you're over the age of 65 or immobile.

only when im having trouble going to the toilet, i eat it for the extra fiber otherwise theres nothing great about it contrary to popular believe normal semonila pasta is actually a low GI food that wont mess with your blood sugar

Bought and cooked whole pasta once on a whim just to try it.... it's "flavor" ruined the rest of the meal that went atop it. Fuck whole wheat pasta.

I prefer the flavor of whole wheat pasta, it has a richer, nuttier flavor than regular. Plus I like the chewy density. Regular pasta always tasted too sweet and distracting, while wheat pasta compliments all sauces.

It has it's applications. But the taste, texture and sauce absorption are different. If you think they're interchangeable, they're not. It's like sushi with brown rice instead. That's retarded. It's not the same thing.

Is baby too scared of food that isn't white?

Why are wholegrain products more expensive?

>> No.9479162

My guess is that there's less of a demand for them and they're seen as "exotic".

Pasta is one of those things that suffers greatly from being whole grain. I eat extremely healthy, but on the rare occasion I eat pasta it's gotta be the regular kind. Whole wheat substitutions for traditional meals just don't work.

whole wheat penne is infinitely better than white penne. i bake bread for fun, and am transitioning over to using higher percentages of whole wheat. haven't gone 100% ww in my breads, though, cause the gluten development is lacking.

my guess is that you can trick retards into paying more for a worse product if you create the illusion of quality.

>> No.9480064

I have a different opinion from you, a result of personal preference.

Regular grain products are stripped of the bran and you only eat the endosperm.
Whole grain saves one step, it's processed without extracting the white endosperm, saving them money and they still charge you more for it because you think it's healthier.

What a scam.

I was for like 10 years but then my large intestine protested and now I'm back to all white shit. WW tastes so much better.

This, but the chew and slight nuttiness of whole grains themselves is also a nice plus.
