Anchovies I can get behind because they have really strong flavors useful for a lot of dishes, but sardines are straight up poverty fish. Maybe they'd be alright fresh but canned always tastes like a dried up turd that someone tried to rehydrate in oil.

I heard they were healthy, it's why I originally tried them out. But honestly I was just not into the taste. Anchovies I love but the canned sardines were just so dry and not very pleasant to eat.

Try eating better brands. The cans I posted are all around $3 and they taste amazing, come with little pickles and peppers in a red chilli sauce. With a squirt of lemon it's the most patrician easy meal you can make
