Popeyes Mighty Good Fried Chicken was first opened in Arabi, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans in St. Bernard Parish, on June 12, 1972 as "Chicken on the Run"
The restaurant was founded on quality and attention to detail and nothing has changed since the moment they opened their first store.

My friends let me tell you. The moment I took a bite of my first piece of dark meat my life changed. I knew I would never be the same again.

>that flavor
>that crunch
>those spices
>the table side service and clean floors.

Popeye's has changed the restaurant game forever. I encourage you to run, not walk, down to Popeye's today!

This.
There's a reason I make fried chicken at home instead of going out to get some.

They have steadily been becoming trash ever since being bought by Burger King...sad times.

I went there tonight for the big box and my trip was not a happy one
The tenders were half the length and thickness they used to be (and they weren't huge in the past)
My local Popeye's used to throw in an extra tender or two when I've gotten the big box in the past, but there was none of that this time. Three pieces that would best be described as nuggets.
The red beans and rice were very watery and bland.
The coleslaw was room temperature and smelled off; inedible.
Overall, I'd give my visit a 3/10

Dark days are ahead for this franchise under the new regime

Its not just popeyes. Many fast food restaurants are cutting corners and selling shoddy food. It also may have something to do with the quality of workers. All of the self entitled teenagers of the smartphone generation who have now work ethic are fucking with the food preparation.

There are no popeyes nearby other than one that is within the international airport. the second closest popeye is like 3 days of ship cruise away
