I just purchased $35 worth of frozen lobster tails (4 of them) on a whim.

All lobster tails shipped even 100mi from the cost are flash frozen on the ship right after they're caught and separated.

"Raw" lobster tails at your grocery store have been pre-thawed and will result in inferior texture and taste compared to buying them frozen and thawing them at home according to your cooking schedule.
