Can you mix heavy cream with skim milk to make 2% and if so what's the ratio

>> No.9190741

Google tells me that heavy cream is around one third fat which means you would need 6% of the solution to be cream and the remaining 94% to be skimmed milk

How about the reverse of this? Can you make cream at home or is this just impossible? A lot of dishes I want to make call for heavy cream but stores where I live just don't sell it. It's retarded.

Are you asking for it? That kind of boggles my mind you can't buy it. Many people whip their own whipped cream for desserts.
