Anyone else have this? My friends are having a potluck and I want to make a burger from this to share, since the theme is defictionalized foods.

My first thought was the Baby You Can Chive My Car burger since it was a BotD with real narrative importance. Is it any good? Most of the recipes are great but I thought the Garden of Eden burger was a real letdown.

Its good, but you definitely need to go into it with an open mind. The burgers that are obviously good stand out, but theres nothing in it that is truly bad.

It'll be pretty heavily dependent on if I can use their stovetop when I get there. If not I'll just make some Pitt Cola or something.

Fair enough. Gotta figure out some sort of protein though, I'm looking at what everyone else is bringing and it's a sugar shock.

Personally since you >>9125129 are planning on cooking them at the friend's house (Why not cook them at home?) I'm not sure that I'd go for these recipes. Although I guess The Baby You Can Chive My Car burger would probably be easier than most to make there, because you're just stuffing the burgers with feta, topping with a bunch of chives and the sour cream/mustard spread, and serving it with fried pickles. Do your friends like feta cheese and chives?

Cook the food at your own house, dude. Have you never been to a potluck before?

Haven't asked them about feta, but the hostess loves chives a lot.

I did once. I made two, 2lb burger patties and two, 13oz potato bread boulles.
I split the bouilles as you would burger buns and put one patty in each then topped them off with the top half and cut each of the two complete gigantiburgers into eighths, like a cake or pie.

It just tasted like normal-ass burgers, but it was novel so it was well received.

Still, I get your point and agree.

Don't burger a potluck. Meatloaf might be nice and you can change most burger recipes into meatloaf recipes just by adding starch or breadcrumbs (many also add egg). So I'd suggest, instead, making a Baby You Can Chive My Car meatloaf. To make it novel, bake the meatloaf in two circular cake tins, layer the two meatloaves with a layer of mashed potato 'frosting' then 'frost' the whole thing with more mash to make it resemble a cake with vanilla frosting. For fun, write 'Happy Potluck!' on it with ketchup and put candles in it.
