I've got some canned refried beans that were given to me a while ago and I still haven't tried them. are they good on their own or do they require extra spices/cheese to be tolerable?

>> No.9116015

Theyre pretty good on their own just a little thicc. Good for dipping chips too.

Look at the ingredients
Chances are, its been seasoned with chili powder and other shit

I ad a pinch of salt to mine and cayenne pepper

And what do you mean you dont know how to use? Spoon it out, heat it up, and throw it on a damned tort tilla and roll it up and have bean burrita

>> No.9116050

Just buy a pack of tortillas, and whatever burrito/fajita ingredients you like, and put some of the beans in there

Fruits: eat raw or make a pie
Vegetables: steam or bake them then put butter on them or put in some sort of curry to bulk it up

Fair enough. Not sure how healthy fruit pies are, however.

They're fine on there own.

I like adding chopping tomato, onion, and jalapeno pepper.

Make some tostada's. Get a bag of flat hard corn tortillas, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and cheese. It tastes much better than it sounds

>> No.9116536

I top them with shredded pepperjack and have them as a side with rice when I make a mexican entree. Sometimes I mix the rice and the beans, add a little freshly chopped japjap to put on the slapslap.

I mistook condensed milk for evaporated milk and bought it on accident. What can I do with condensed milk.

I usually use evaporated milk to make lemon bread and other types of sweet bread. Would it be possible to replace evaporated milk with condensed milk when making these breads?

>> No.9116589

>>9116569
No totally different. If you crush a sleeve of Graham crackers add a bag of chocolate chips and add the can of sweetened condensed milk you'll have a great batch of cookies you don't need to bake. (Unless you want the hot gooey goodness, you do) Another thing is to boil the can quickly in water then when you open it after it's cooled you have instant dulce de leche

>itt: ingredients you have laying around that you don't know how to use
I was given pic related by a white woman because she "just happened to realise (you) liked cooking asian food" when in reality I was making panda express tier shit and attempting to create hunan dishes from a cookbook.

If you want more runny canned beans, look for the ones called molidos instead of refritos . Pretty good as a dip

They're a great way to add beans to chile for those who dont think chili with beans is a thing. Like hiding meat in a vegetarian dish. They're none the wiser and when they say your chili is the best, only you know why ; )

those look like winners, id make some beef bean n cheese burritos.

I have a fuck load of beans. I can't figure out any new way to cook beans. I'm so bored of beans. I've also been doing home canning lately. Can I make some kind of bean paste in a jar then just give it away and have people think I'm a nice guy? People love it when I give them stuff in jars.

>tfw just threw away some juicing oranges because I never used them
Well, what the fuck was I supposed to do with them? They obviously would have been too juicy to eat. My hands and face would have been a mess. Could you imagine?
